Hotel Villa Steno looks out over the historic center
of Monterosso and is surrounded by a garden
of lemon, orange, and
olive trees. The old town's beach
is 300 meters from the hotel, as is the pier,
where ferries leave for the other villages in
the Cinque Terre.
To reach the main street of the town from the
hotel you must go on foot.
The
trail
for Vernazza starts off 300 meters
away from the hotel, heading left from the town
beach.
Villa Steno can be
reached by car year round; the hotel has its own
small private parking
lot; if you wish to use it, we recommend
that you call on the morning of your arrival.
However, since the Cinque Terre area is off-limits
to traffic almost all year round, you will not
be able to use your car during your stay; you
will instead find it easiest to get around by
train,
ferry, or on foot.
Taxis
are available just outside the train station,
at the public parking lot, or can also be called
directly from the hotel.
Trains are nevertheless the best means of transport
for coming to the Cinque Terre on vacation.
