Hotel Villa Steno has a quiet location in the heart of the old town on a hill overlooking the town and the sea. You can reach the hotel by car in any time of the year, but from March to November Monterosso is car-free so you can drive to the hotel and park but from the hotel you cannot drive into town. To reach the main street you have to go through our lemon groves or walk along the small private driveway. If you have problems walking, please consider that both ways are a bit steep.

BY CAR:
- From MILANO (MILAN) take Autostrada (freeway/motorway) A7 till Genova, then A12 to Livorno and exit at Carrodano-Levanto. From Milano to Monterosso it takes 3 hours.
- From VENEZIA (VENICE) take Autostrada A4 till Padova, then A13 till Bologna, then A1 till Parma, A15 to La Spezia, then A12 to Genova and exit at Carrodano-Levanto. Alternatively take A4 to Milano, then see from Milano. It takes 6 hours.
- From FIRENZE (FLORENCE) take Autostrada A11 to Viareggio or the toll free superstrada for Pisa (blue signs for Pisa) and then take Autostrada A12 till Genova and exit at Carrodano-Levanto. It takes 2 ½ hours.
- From SIENA take the superstrada to Firenze (blue signs for Firenze). From Firenze take Autostrada A11 to Viareggio or the toll free superstrada for Pisa (blue signs for Pisa) and then take Autostrada A12 till Genova and exit at Carrodano-Levanto. It takes 3 hours.
- From ROMA (ROME) take autostrada A1 to Firenze, then see from Firenze. It takes 5 hours.
- From PARMA take A15 to La Spezia, then A12 to Genova and exit at Carrodano-Levanto (second exit after La Spezia).
- From NICE (France) take Autostrada/Autoroute to Ventimiglia (italian border) and then to Genova. In Genova, take A12 to Livorno and exit at Carrodano-Levanto. From Nice to Monterosso it takes 5 hours.

From A12 exit of CARRODANO-LEVANTO follow signs to Levanto and Monterosso al mare. After Levanto follow signs up hill towards Monterosso. At the top of the hill you will drive to a short tunnel. 400 meters after it you will see a left turn uphill toward La Spezia, Pignone and Vernazza. Ignore it. Keep on the road you are on (it keeps going left) ignoring also the downhill turn to the right for Monterosso - Fegina. After 5 Km. you will be in town and on the right you'll find a sign posted "Villa Steno" - continue to the top.

BY TRAIN:
From the station to the hotel it takes 10 minutes walking (1 km.), but the last part is steep.
Taxis are available at the train station or at the public parking or we can call them from the hotel reception desk for you. When you arrive at the train station with your luggage we suggest you to come to the hotel by taxi. The taxi ride from the station costs more or less 7 Euro.

Walking from Monterosso railway station:
on exiting the railway station turn left along the sea front. After 300 meters pass through a short tunnel and under the railway bridge beyond this. Take via Roma (to the right of the arches of the church in front of you on the piazza) and continue for 200 meters until you pass a bank and then a post office on your left. 10 meters beyond this look for an uphill turning to the left sign posted Villa Steno, indicating your left, and continue to the top.
